JAGAT has been approved by Ministry of International Trade & Industry(the present Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). JAGAT is non-profit cooperative organization extending a comprehensive range of printing and information service facilities and capabilities to all its members in the graphic arts and allied industries. With a staff of 51(as April 1, 2005), our organization is divided into the Research, Media Convergence, Marketing, Information and Administration with Osaka office
JAGAT has the following three responsibilities with regard to the development of the printing indsutry : Firstly, to look at the future and indicate the direction of the industry. Secondly, to implement measures that embody this direction. Finally, to provide educational instruction so that these measures will be actually carried out on site.
JAGAT's membership is comprised of 1,127 companies(as end of March 2005). Almost all major companies in the graphic arts and allied industries are members of JAGAT. The field represented include (a)the printing sector (b)pre-press industry (c)bookmaking industry (d)Information (e)other sectors such as printing equipment and material manufacturers
