Almost major companies in the graphic arts and allied printing industries are members. Aim of JAGAT is to help its membership improve business and, upgrade the technical and commercial structure of the graphic arts and allied printing industries.

Seminars

The number of opening : Seminars for 297 days with 4,727 attendance in head office and 64 days with 1,457 attendance in Osaka office
Holding seminars and symposia for managers, section staff, beginner and company personnel of all members. Technical research uses our in-house facilities. Help our members grow by providing training facilities available in many valuable seminars

DTP expert certification examination : Total number of applicants are 33,812 from March, 1994 to March 2005 - 23 terms
DTP expert is not only engineer but necessary to take a leadership. The certified period for the DTP expert is two years, in consideration of changes in technology and environments. The successful applicants were 13,852 in eleven years.


Consultation

The number of guidance day for members:124 days for 54 companies in head office and 47 days for 9 companies in Osaka office
Consultation and guidance to allow specific and concrete problems raised by our members to be approached and tackled in a positive manner. Consultation and guidance on all relevant problems with a vision encompassing the whole of the printing and allied industries and giving careful consideration to the companies and organizations concrned

Correspondence course

The number of correspondence : 2,467 students in 22 courses
Contents : For fresh worker, printer and plate maker,DTP expert and others
This correspondence courses is only one professional course for peinting industry in Japan.

The number of publications :publication 2, republication 5 and Printers Circle(monthly)
Monthly magazine : Printers Circle (Japanese)
Contents of publishing: fresh workers, salesman, technical expert and manager. These include a large number of publications dealing with the various aspects and problems of the graphic arts and allied industries with latest news.

International Exchange

FAGAT(Forum of Asianpacific Graphic Arts Technology) :More Details: FAGAT
The 7th FAGAT was held at Kuala Lumpur and Genting City, Malaysia on March 11-13, 2004 by Malaysia Printers Association. 54 Foreign Participants from 8 countries were met for board meeting and information exchange meeting. The board decided that Australia would host the 8th FAGAT meeting in Sydney, October 2005.
IARIGAI(International Association of Research Institutes for the Graphic Arts Industry):
JAGAT is a member of 34 regular member organizations in 19 countries. IARIGAI is promote and cultivate on an international basis the activities of corporate institutions that have the general objectives of research, technical and information services for the printing and allied industries.
