Profile of Mr. Sunny Phang Chet Ping

Mr. Sunny Phang is a businessman by profession with extensive marketing experience. He started his career as a Marketing Executive in the music industry in charge of A&R and Marketing for the distribution of CBS and Universal Records in Malaysia and Singapore.
He has also worked in Advertising Agencies and Commercial Printing Houses handling major accounts of corporate companies, housing developers and financial institutions.

In 1993, he joined Protect Print Sdn Bhd, a security printing establishment. He restructured and introduced new methodology to its production workflow. In 1995, he acquired a digital printing system to maximise print-on-demand environment. In 1997, he initiated the electronic cheque ordering online system (Protect Priority Online or PPOL) to the Malaysian banks.

In 2003, the company was awarded the BS EN/ISO 9001:2000 certification for the scope of printing of security document, and CWA 14641:2003 an international certification for security printers and allied industries. He was conferred the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (P.J.K.) by Sultan of Selangor in 2000. He is a Vice-President of Selangor & Federal Territory Chinese Printing Presses' Association (2002-2004) and Chairman of Loong Tien Keong Association (2002-2004). Both are non-profit organisations.
